ECA: Founded over 100 years ago, the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) is the UK's largest and leading trade association representing electrical, electronic, installation engineering and building services companies. Recognised by government, commerce and industry as the authoritative voice of the sector, the ECA is among the nation's best resourced representative associations. The Association works closely with government and key national bodies to improve industry standards and procedures. Its comprehensive, progressive and innovative services are highly respected and renowned throughout the industry.
Exor: The Exor policy towards accreditation is based on an active and robust programme of checking, testing and independent validation of the information supplied. It is not purely a listing of information and data. Constructionline: The UK's largest register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants. Its aim is to improve efficiencies for buyers and suppliers in the construction industry, specifically by reducing the duplication of work and administration relating to the process of pre-qualifying suppliers for construction contracts.
Chas: Ensure companies meet acceptable standards of health and safety compliance.
JTL: The leading training provider to the building services engineering sectors, works with 3,500 business and supports 9,700 apprentices to deliver more Advanced Apprenticeships than anyone else in the sector.
ECA Energy Efficiency Part L: The ECA has been approved by Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) – now the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) – to operate an Electrical Energy Efficiency Scheme. This Scheme is for firms wanting to self-certify that their electrical installation work carried out in commercial and industrial buildings complies with Part L of the Building Regulations.
The Scheme comprises three scopes covering the following areas of work:
- lighting
- electrical heating
- controls.
