The 42-48 Whitmore Road Building is a 5 story extended head room new build development to create a mixed use property including high end residential apartments, commercial units and a dedicated commercial artist studio.  

W Portsmouth were employed by Kind & Co Ltd to undertake all associated electrical works within the project. This included Lighting, Emergency Lighting, LV Distribution, Small Power, Fire Alarm, Communication Systems, Security, Access Control & Network Systems.

The buildings design exposes all soffit areas throughout and it was the desired affect to have no exposed containment systems. In order to achieve this W Portsmouth had to work closely with the building contractor to meticulously set out all soffit services at a very early stage of the project in order to ensure at a later stage when the electrical services were second fixed that all were in line with the Reflected ceiling plan requirements and to enhance the architectural and interior design of the building.

The project was completed within a 12 months design and build programme of works in which W Portsmouth worked closely with the architectural practice, interior design team, main contractor, and various specialist sub contractors on site to achieve practical completion both on time and in budget.
